Let author and Illustrator Bradd Parton introduce you to Alpha-Sketch. An Alpha-Sketch is a drawing made only of the letters of the alphabet. Each letter is used once in every drawing. While it deals with the alphabet, Alpha-Sketch is not about learning letters; it’s about thinking creatively, varying your point of view, and looking for details. Bradd created this drawing style and has published multiple picture books as well as a series of activity books. This year marks the release of THE ALPHA-SKETCH CLASSROOM, a teacher’s manual that shows how this creative style can be used to engage your students in a fun, effective way. Bradd also provides a custom book project for schools to use as a fundraiser where he writes/illustrates an original book about what makes your school great. Students sell the books, and your school earns $5 profit per copy sold with no minimums to order. His presentation also includes a game where attendees can win prizes like books, t-shirts, prints, and magnets by guessing what is being drawn with the alphabet.
