Our students were exposed to real and imaginary superheroes through a study of the creation and reading of graphic novels, both fiction and non-fiction. The art teacher, a fourth grade teacher, and media specialist collaborated on an integrated arts unit. Students read graphic novels featuring superheroes, designed artwork, and met with two local graphic novel authors. They also logged their reading in Biblionasium.
