Is there anyone more equipped to meaningfully speak on the concept of inclusive libraries than our students? Of course not. Of course not. To leverage students’ experience, perspective, and wisdom—and to create student-driven PD—three of our amazing 8th grade students--Cesar Falcon, Jose Gomez, and Jaida Morris--at Mount Vernon Middle School worked with me to develop student-led training for librarians. During this session, we'll explain our #LibFive concept and unpack those Five Key Foundations for Building Inclusive Libraries. My students will share their stories and lived library experiences!
