Sexual harassment, bias, and unequal power dynamics are interwoven throughout our culture; as recent revelations in the children’s literature community have shown, publishing is not immune. We will discuss what has happened, the implications for school and public libraries (and their patrons), and the culture that values some authors and illustrators over others.
